2026 Cascais & Estoril Classic-Film Writing Award
Film historian John DiLeo and author/journalist Richard C. Morais will identify the Fall 2026 MWI Program participant/writer who during the week has filed the most colorful and thoughtful film critique and related travel/essay writing. That writer will win the 2026 Cascais & Estoril Classic-Film Writing Award, which consists of –
- Two round-trip economy airline tickets from the participant’s country of residence to Lisbon, Portugal.
- A 2-night stay for two people, including buffet breakfast, at the five-star Palácio Estoril Hotel. Package also includes a private guided tour of the hotel’s historical galleries and the Sala Museu (Museum Room,) plus two vesper martinis served at Bar Estoril.
- A signed copy of John DiLeo’s 2024 book Not Even Nominated: 40 overlooked costars of Oscar-winning performances.
- A sumptuous and entertaining dinner with Bernardo Corrêa de Barros, president of the Cascais Visitors & Convention Center.
Dates of use to be mutually agreed on between the winner, the Cascais Visitors & Convention Center, and the Palácio Estoril Hotel.
